Arte Indio Shop supports local artists from all over Costa Rica.  We carry paintings on canvas, balsa wood masks, macramé jewelry, textiles, pottery, and much more.  Hotel Divisamar is proud to present Costa Rican Native & Indian Art.

The masks are 100% authentic, hand carved, & hand painted masks made by the Boruca Indians, located in Southern Costa Rica. The process of making one mask is very tedious and painstaking work, taking 3 to 5 days to make one. Each mask is unique, carved from a solid piece of balsa or cedar wood then intricately painted.

They are some of the most beautiful and brilliantly colored masks in the world and always include some of the wildlife that is native to Costa Rica.  The textiles as well are produced by the Boruca Indians, with all the colored dyes are made from 100% organic materials from the plants of the rainforest.

 The macramé jewelry is also hand made by local artisans who incorporate seeds native to Costa Rica, as well as semi-precious stones from Central & South America.  The pottery comes from the Chorotega Indians from Guatil in Guanacaste. Paintings come from various artists around the Manuel Antonio Area.
